What data we collect

We collect only what you provide yourself, plus the minimal technical information any web server records.

• Demo request form data: first name, last name, work email address, company name, job title, country and phone number.
• Your marketing opt-in, if you ticked it.
• The interface language you submitted the request in.
• Technical data from web server logs: IP address, browser type and version, date and time of the request, and the URL requested.
• Web analytics data: a pseudonymous visitor identifier, IP address, device and browser details, referral source, pages viewed, clicks and scroll depth.
• Session recordings: cursor movement, scrolling and the sequence of actions on a page. The contents of form fields are not included.

How we collect data

You provide form data voluntarily by filling it in and submitting the request. Every field except job title and the marketing opt-in is required — without them we cannot contact you.

Technical data is recorded automatically when you access the Site.

Visit statistics are collected by the Yandex Metrica counter — but only if you allowed it in the banner on your first visit. Without consent the counter is not loaded at all. The Site carries no advertising pixels.

The counter records sessions (Yandex “Webvisor”): it captures cursor movement, scrolling, clicks and the sequence of pages opened, so that we can see how a page is read. Recording of the demo form's field contents is switched off — whatever you type into them is not kept in the recording.

Why we process data

• To contact you and arrange a demo.
• To prepare and run a demo relevant to your role, company and market.
• To answer your questions and conduct business correspondence.
• To send you marketing materials — only if you have separately consented.
• To keep the Site operational and secure.
• To understand from aggregated statistics how visitors use the Site, and to improve its content and structure.

Legal bases

We process form data to take steps at your request prior to entering into a contract, and on the basis of our legitimate interest in developing business relationships.

We send marketing communications solely on the basis of your consent. Consent is voluntary, does not affect your ability to get a demo, and can be withdrawn at any time.

We process server logs on the basis of our legitimate interest in the security and availability of the Site.

We process web analytics data solely on the basis of your consent, which we ask for before the counter starts working. Consent is voluntary, refusing it limits your access to the Site in no way, and it can be withdrawn at any time — see “How to opt out of analytics”.

Cookies and web analytics

The Site sets the cookies of the Yandex Metrica counter — and only after you have given consent in the banner. They serve statistics: they let the counter tell a returning visitor from a new one and keep separate visits apart. The Site sets no advertising or profiling cookies.

Your choice itself — “accepted” or “declined” — is kept as a single record in your browser's local storage, so that we do not have to ask on every page. It is not transmitted anywhere and cannot identify you. This record appears whichever way you decide: without it a refusal could not be remembered either.

The cookies the counter sets are listed below. Their composition and lifetimes are defined by Yandex and may change — the current values are given in the Yandex Metrica documentation.

If we introduce advertising or profiling tools, we will update this policy before such technologies start operating.

• _ym_uid — a pseudonymous visitor identifier, stored for about a year.
• _ym_d — the date of the first visit, stored for about a year.
• _ym_isad — whether an ad blocker is present, stored for up to two days.
• _ym_visorc — a technical session-recording cookie, living for about half an hour.

How to opt out of analytics

You can change your mind at any time: the “Cookie settings” button in the footer of any page opens the banner again. A refusal takes effect immediately — we delete the counter's cookies and reload the page so that it no longer runs.

There are also ways that do not depend on us: block cookies in your browser settings, use the Yandex Metrica opt-out page (yandex.com/support/metrica/general/opt-out.html), or block the mc.yandex.ru domain.

Nothing on the Site depends on the counter: navigation and the demo request form work exactly the same without it.

Sharing data with third parties

We do not sell your data and do not share it with third parties for their own purposes. Access is limited to the providers the Site cannot operate without:

• Our hosting provider, whose servers host the Site and the request database.
• Our email service and customer relationship management system, which we use to correspond with you about your request.
• Google LLC — the Site loads web fonts from Google's servers, so your IP address becomes known to Google when a page is opened.
• Yandex LLC — the provider of Yandex Metrica, which processes the Site's visit statistics on its own servers under its own data protection terms.

Retention periods

• Demo requests are kept while discussions are ongoing and for three years after the last contact.
• Marketing contact details are kept until consent is withdrawn.
• Web server logs are kept for no longer than twelve months.
• Aggregated statistics are held in the Yandex Metrica service and their retention is determined by Yandex; the counter's cookies live in your browser no longer than the periods listed under “Cookies and web analytics”.

Your rights

To exercise any of these rights, write to support@horseoffortune.tech. We respond within thirty days.

• Obtain confirmation that we process your data, and a copy of that data.
• Have inaccurate or incomplete data corrected.
• Have your data erased.
• Restrict or object to processing.
• Receive your data in a machine-readable format and transfer it to another controller.
• Withdraw your marketing consent at any time.
• Lodge a complaint with a data protection supervisory authority.

Security

Data is transmitted over a secure HTTPS connection, and access to requests is limited to staff who need it for their work.

No system is absolutely secure. We cannot guarantee the security of data transmitted over the internet and are not liable for the consequences of unauthorised access that occurs through no fault of ours.

Minors

The Site is aimed at business professionals and is not intended for anyone under 16. We do not knowingly collect their data. If you become aware that a minor has provided us with their data, write to support@horseoffortune.tech and we will delete it.

International transfers

Our providers may be located outside your country of residence, so data may be transferred to jurisdictions with different data protection requirements. We work only with providers that offer a level of protection comparable to the one described in this policy.

Links to third-party resources

The Site contains links and embedded demos that may lead to other resources. This policy does not apply to them — please review their own documents.

Changes to this policy

We may change this policy. The current version is always available at this address, and the date of the last update is shown at the top of the page. If changes materially affect your rights, we will notify you by email.
